GMM & CPD Hybrid Seminar: Traditional Contemporary Arabic Architecture and its Holistic Approach of Advanced Technology

The United Architects of the Philippines Qatar Chapter is cordially delighted to invite you all in our upcoming 2nd-General Membership Assembly and CPD Seminar Program with the theme: Traditional Contemporary Arabic Architecture and its Holistic Approach of Advanced Technology on 20 February 2023 to be held at The Ritz-Carlton Sharq Village, Doha, Qatar, in collaboration with MENA Council, a hybrid* event for the external participating countries.

The event will be attended by Filipino Architects, members and non-members, Arabic/Qatari guests, and other participants alike, that will feature a CPD seminar with the following topics: 

Topic 1: Traditional Contemporary Arabic Architecture and its Holistic Approach of Advanced Technology

Promoting the preservation of the cultural heritage and identity of the region while incorporating new technology in the field of Architecture, Design and Engineering. The origins of Arabic/Islamic Architecture, Contemporary Architecture middle-east region to discuss the significance and integrating local identity and culture in buildings/structures as expressions of formal ideology in terms of new materials and technology to be the highlight of the talk from one of the influential Architect in Qatar and the Middle East Region, Architect Ibrahim Mohamed Jaidah.

Topic 2: Classic Touch of Wood: Technical Presentation of Wood Composite Cladding Products for Building Facades 

Promoting the use of wooden materials that can be applied with the advanced process in application to be presented by the expertise of Mr. Nicolas Allam and Ms. Siwika Worakul for the technical approaches of the architectural products specialties and its usage, purpose of application and specifications; performance of various types of wood composite material that are used for decking, cladding, and others; as well as selecting the most appropriate solution to ensure long-term sustainability and architectural solutions pertaining to wooden materials with advanced methods of applications.

This CPD  Hybrid Seminar* will be a beneficial and informative event that help to elevate and educate the innovations of international requisite of career growth.
