Last September 2024, the UAP Qatar Chapter marked a vibrant month of activities, highlighted by their 14th Founding Anniversary celebration combined with their First General Membership Meeting at the Dusit D2 Salwa Hotel. The event, which drew 100 participants including representatives from the Philippine Embassy, featured expert speakers discussing construction contracts, fire safety, and urban development in the oil and gas industry.
The chapter demonstrated its commitment to professional growth by participating in several key initiatives, including an ASEAN Architects discussion that attracted over 100 architects from the MENA Region and the Philippines. On the social front, the chapter kicked off the month by joining the PPO-Q Sportsfest Opening Ceremony, fostering camaraderie among Filipino professionals in Qatar. Throughout the month, the chapter maintained active engagement through regular board meetings, sports events including a bowling tournament, and educational seminars.
Under the leadership of Chapter President Arch. Jayson Z. Santos, the organization balanced professional development with community building, embodying their corporate thrust of being Sustainable, Thriving, Resilient, Operational, Notable, and Growing (STRONG). Their efforts in September reflected their dedication to strengthening both the architectural profession and the Filipino professional community in Qatar.
